Meet Dana Neuts, our full-time CEO. Dana joined the Covington Chamber of Commerce in February 2021, after an 18-year career as a writer, editor, and marketing professional, owning her own business - Virtually Yourz - and working in local government as a communications professional.
Dana has extensive nonprofit experience, including serving as the president of Kent Community Foundation, as a director on the Kent Downtown Partnership board, and as president for the national Society of Professional Journalists. She has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master's degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
Dana is thrilled to be a part of the Covington Chamber and loves having the opportunity to combine her education, experience and passion for community to serve the greater Covington community. She also enjoys connecting business owners with resources and meeting with and learning from other chamber of commerce CEOs and executive directors.
When not working, Dana enjoys reading, writing, hiking, birdwatching and traveling. She lives in Kent with her fur babies - Jack, Lucifer and Cocoa. She is the mom to three children: a daughter who lives in Kenmore and a stepson and stepdaughter who live in Indiana. She has two grandkitties, Biscuits & Gravy, and five grandchildren.
Keylona Temeyosa officially joined the Covington Chamber team in May 2023, but we first met her in April 2022 at our first Covington Makers' Market. Keylona is an excellent addition to the team, assisting with daily operations, event planning and implementation, brainstorming, member support, and keeping the trains running on time. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm for community are infectious, making her a great fit for this part-time position. As of January 1, 2024, Keylona is now a paid staff member instead of a contractor. This increases our resources so that we can better serve you!
Keylona brings a wide range of experience with her, including being a business owner herself. She is the brains behind New Craft Different Day, a vendor specializing in handsewn items including kitchen textiles (potholders, dish towels, bowl cozies, etc.); children's toys; accessories; gift items and more. New Craft Different Day is a member of the Covington Chamber, setting an example for other vendors of how the Chamber might help them grow their businesses too.
When not Chambering or crafting, Keylona is the mom to four-year-old Dominic, who is our very first junior ambassador, a wife, daughter and friend. We are thrilled to have her on board.
