One of our favorite things to do at the Covington Chamber is to help our members celebrate their successes, whether it is a grand opening or a special anniversary. We offer a complimentary ribbon-cutting ceremony as part of the celebration at no charge to our members. A ribbon cutting includes:
Coordinating the date with Covington Mayor Jeff Wagner - he loves helping businesses celebrate their big moments
Preparing a Proclamation for the Mayor to read during the ribbon-cutting ceremony
Creating a Facebook event page and Calendar event with the business as a co-host for easy sharing
Inviting our members and the community to the event (We also recommend the businesses invite their connections too!)
Bringing the ribbon and ceremonial scissors
Taking photos for sharing on social media (Businesses often have their own photographer, but we like to supplement so we have immediate access to the photos for posting.)
Please note this service is only available to Covington Chamber members. You must be a member in good standing to utilize this Chamber benefit.

Contact us early in your planning
We want to work with you to find the best day, date, and time for your ribbon-cutting ceremony. Please contact us at least two weeks prior to your preferred date. We typically do ribbon-cuttings on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. This gives us the best chance of including our leadership team and ambassadors. However, if you contact us early enough, we may be able to accommodate an event outside those days. Please contact Dana Neuts, Chief Ambassador, to make arrangements for your special ribbon-cutting celebration.
