The Covington Chamber hosted its first Business Listening Session on July 8, 2026 to hear directly from local business owners and managers about the challenges they face, identify opportunities for support, and strengthen the Chamber’s advocacy. The discussion revealed concerns shared by businesses of different sizes and industries, along with a strong desire for greater collaboration, communication, and engagement among businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and the Chamber. We learned a lot from local businesses during our first listening session. Not only did we hear about areas of interest in terms of advocacy, but we also learned where we can improve our communications -- advocacy, resources, membership benefits and opportunities to collaborate. We will begin working on the Next Steps identified during the listening session, and we will host our next business listening session in the fall. Download or read the Executive Summary below.
