At the Covington Chamber, there are two things we love more than anything – supporting our community and having fun doing it! That’s why, in 2020, the Covington Chamber Board of Directors created the Good Work Fund, an opportunity for our organization and members to make a bigger investment in our community.
Members who invest at the Community Investor level ($1,100) or above have 10% of their annual membership investment deposited into the Good Work Fund, which we use to do good work throughout the community. For example, at the $1,100 level, $110 of the membership investment goes into the Good Work Fund. We fund business and community needs, including everything from food and hygiene supplies to DECA support and school supply drives and recreational scholarships for low income families.
Microgrant application and review process
Using a microgrant model, our Good Work Fund committee reviews applications quarterly and awards grants based on merit, alignment with our mission, and financial considerations. Microgrants are awarded for $100, $250 and $500.
