Clean, Safe, Welcome Team

This group started as a grassroots effort by one of our members - Justin VanLandschoot, owner of Covington Place - to help make Covington a cleaner, safer, more welcoming city for residents, visitors and businesses. As a result of this focus, the Covington Chamber has adopted 164th Avenue SE between the Covington Library and Mattson Middle School and does litter pick-ups on that road twice a year. We have also done litter pick-up events in the business district between Fred Meyer and McDonald's along 272nd Street. 

Our next two litter pick-up events are scheduled for March 2023:

• Sat., March 4 (9 to 11 a.m.) - Meet at Foss parking lot.
• Tues., March 28 (10 a.m. - noon) - Meet at City Hall.

Anyone is welcome to join us to do the litter pick-ups. We'll provide all the materials, water and snacks.
